We seem so eager to set these resolutions for the new year but hardly look back on those which were set last year. Since I left the home I've given up the trendy setting of New Years Resolutions. this does not then mean that I have given up goal making. So I'm going to review some goals from the previous year.
1. Figure out what field I want to enter for Graduate school.
a. so this was a bit spotty. I took a handful of Central and South American culture classes and even a Marxist class. I figured if I was going to pursue this interest I would want to know more of the theories on which many governments have been based throughout history.
b. I started also taking classes in Peace and Justice studies. This led me to pursue a minor in that. This I would say was my biggest success from that goal. These classes have led me to want to attend the Kroc Institute at Notre Dame (application is in).
That was probably my biggest goal over the previous year. The others were small and short term so I won't go into them.
For those of you who are into the year long resolution write them down and post them around to remind you.
You'll have to excuse my ignorance but just what is Peace and Justice studies? Let alone what does a minor in it entail? What drew you to it as your choice of minor? Excuse me if I'm just too curious. You are not obligated to answer.
